Our story
Out of the chaos. Even in a small space.
On one single Sunday I walked into it three times, once with a cup of coffee in my hand.
The ironing board leaned behind the bedroom door. The laundry basket stood where I had pictured an armchair. The wet bath mat hung over the edge of the tub, because otherwise it would have dried nowhere.
My first flat had 48 square metres and a hallway with the drying rack standing in it. Not for the time being. Always.

Moving was not an option. So I looked for flat wall-mounted dryers and ordered two. Neither was any good. One held three towels. The other stood four centimetres off the wall and looked like a tool.
The hallway became a hallway again.
That is how Homellence started. Our first wall-mounted dryer sits 2.8 cm from the wall when folded.
Since then we have been making things for the corners where space runs short: laundry, bathroom and kitchen.
And why a stone bath mat?
Because it needs no room to dry.
Saving space does not only mean that something is small. It also means that it needs no room to get back in order.
A fabric mat has to hang somewhere after every shower – over the tub, on the radiator, over the towel. The diatomite mat simply stays where it is and dries there. If you want it faster, stand it up for a while, leaning against the bath. No hanging, no radiator, no musty smell. A small piece of order, every morning.
